FAQs
General FAQs
Where do you source your ingredients?
Each ingredient has been meticulously selected from the highest quality sources available. These sources range from small California Farms to advanced distillery labs, bringing the purest, cleanest ingredients to our products. If you have questions regarding additional information on sourcing, feel free to contact orders@natureisright.com.
Are your ingredients organic?
Yes and No. Throughout our design process, our products were created with strong, natural foundations. Where needed, scientific select additives were added for better product results. Not all select result-boosting additives are available in organic classifications. However, every ingredient capable of being organic is used to maintain our standard of quality.
Where are your products manufactured?
All products are small-batch created in Northern California.
Are your products sustainably made?
No waste and no fillers. All products by Nature’s Right are made from trusted sources using minimalistic, hand-based techniques. All shipping, packing, and storage items are made using recyclable, non-plastic materials [except for the jar tops]. Glass jars are chosen to provide safe, reliable storage and avoidance of plastic leaching or product spoilage.
Are your products safe for kids and pregnancy?
Yes. Nature’s Right products can be safely applied to children’s and pregnant women’s bodies. But, Nature’s Right does recommend our Unscented products for any overly sensitive populations. For further questions, please consult your personal healthcare provider.
How should I store my products?
Different products will have different storage requirements. Our tallow-based products will need to avoid extreme heat and direct sunlight. The tallow and its nourishing components can melt under conditions and create undesirable textures and potential spoilage. Nature's Right recommends usage within 6 months of receiving your products.
What if I have an adverse reaction to the product?
Nature’s Right strongly stands behind all formulations and the supporting ingredients, but there are rare instances of allergies or adverse reactions. If you have hesitations regarding any product, Nature’s Right recommends using our Unscented products, as they are our gentlest skin solutions. However, in rare cases of reaction, remove the product immediately and wash with cold water to rinse and soothe.
Product FAQs
What is tallow moisturizer?
Tallow moisturizer is a skincare product derived from rendered beef suet. Suet is the nutrient-dense, waxy fat typically surrounding beef kidneys. Tallow has been used historically as a moisturizer due to its emollient properties, which can help hydrate and soften the skin. Tallow contains a plethora of vitamins and minerals essential to health and ideal skin. General elements found within Tallow are:
- Vitamins: A, D3, E, K2, and B12.
- Minerals: Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium, Iron, Zinc, and Selenium.
- Fatty Acids: Majority composition of Oleic acid, Palmitic acid, Stearic acid, and small amounts of Linoleic acid.
What are the benefits of using tallow for skincare?
Tallow, derived from animal fats like beef or sheep, has been used for centuries in skincare and personal care products due to its benefits for the skin. While its use might be controversial for some due to ethical and personal preferences, tallow does offer certain advantages when applied topically.
- Moisturization and Emollience: Tallow is rich in fatty acids, including oleic, palmitic, and stearic acids. These fatty acids help to lock in moisture, creating a barrier on the skin that prevents water loss and keeps the skin hydrated. Tallow's emollient properties can leave the skin feeling soft, smooth, and radiant.
- Nutrient Supply and Natural Fat Compatibility: Tallow contains fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K2. These vitamins have antioxidant properties and can contribute to skin health by protecting against oxidative stress, supporting collagen production, and aiding in skin repair. Tallow's fatty acid composition is most similar to the natural lipids found in human skin. This similarity makes it easier for tallow to be absorbed and integrated into the skin, potentially leading to improved skin texture and appearance.
- Anti-Inflammatory Effects: Some studies suggest that tallow may have anti-inflammatory properties, which could be beneficial for individuals with sensitive or inflamed skin conditions. The soothing effects of tallow may help calm redness and irritation. Common inflammatory skin conditions include eczema, psoriasis, rashes, sunburns, and hives.
- Non-Comedogenic: Tallow is considered non-comedogenic, meaning it is unlikely to clog pores or contribute to acne breakouts. This can be particularly advantageous for those with oily or acne-prone skin.
- Harsh Environment Protection: Traditionally, people living in cold and harsh climates have used tallow to protect their skin from extreme weather conditions. Its protective and moisturizing properties make it suitable for providing a shield against harsh elements. Being fat-based, harsh conditions won’t cause the tallow to evaporate off the skin.
What are the benefits of using Coconut Oil for skincare?
Coconut Oil, a staple of Asian and Pacific cultures, has been treasured for centuries for its skincare benefits. Rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and healthy fats, coconut oil offers a range of advantages when applied to the skin.
- Moisturizing: Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids, particularly lauric acid, which helps to deeply hydrate and nourish the skin. It forms a protective barrier that locks in moisture, making it especially beneficial for dry and dehydrated skin.
- Antimicrobial properties: Lauric acid also exhibits antimicrobial properties, making coconut oil effective against certain bacteria, viruses, and fungi. This can help prevent infections and promote faster healing of wounds, cuts, and minor skin irritations.
- Anti-inflammatory: Coconut oil contains compounds like capric acid and caprylic acid, which have anti-inflammatory properties. Applying coconut oil topically can help reduce inflammation and soothe irritated skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.
- Antioxidant effects: Coconut oil contains antioxidants such as vitamin E, which help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals and environmental stressors. This can help slow down the aging process and keep the skin looking youthful and radiant.
- Improves skin barrier function: The fatty acids present in coconut oil help strengthen the skin's natural barrier, which is essential for maintaining optimal skin health. A healthy skin barrier helps to retain moisture, protect against environmental pollutants, and prevent moisture loss..
What are the benefits of using Beeswax for skincare?
Beeswax, another natural substance produced by honeybees, offers several benefits for skincare due to its unique composition and properties. It has been used for centuries in various skincare products and formulations.
- Healing Properties: Beeswax contains vitamin A—the bioavailable form of retinol palmitate—which is known for its skin-healing properties. It may support skin cell regeneration and help soothe minor cuts, burns, and wounds, aiding in the healing process.
- Nutrient Carrier and Transporter: When used in skincare, beeswax helps seal in the beneficial ingredients of other ingredients, such as tallow, honey, or olive oil. Beeswax creates a strong, non-comedogenic barrier that maximizes the benefit of the effects of skincare products.
- Natural Relief Balm: Beeswax-based balms are commonly used to provide relief for dry skin conditions, chapped lips, cracked heels, rough elbows, and other areas that need extra hydration and protection.
